Harry Binswanger is a professional philosopher who was an associate of Ayn Rand. His degrees are from MIT (SB) and Columbia University (PhD), and he has taught philosophy at Hunter College (City University of New York), The New School for Social Research, the University of Texas, Austin, and the Ayn Rand Institute.
He is the author of How We Know: Epistemology on an Objectivist Foundation and The Biological Basis of Teleological Concepts. He created and edited The Ayn Rand Lexicon and edited a 200-page Appendix to the second edition of Rand’s Introduction to Objectivist Epistemology. Currently, he is writing a book on the philosophy of mathematics.
A frequent speaker on the Objectivist philosophy, he has given more than 70 talks at on a wide variety of topics in philosophy and politics at some 35 universities, and he has appeared on TV shows hosted by Glenn Beck, Geraldo Rivera, and Judge Anthony Napolitano, as well as in two documentary films on Ayn Rand. He was a columnist for Forbes online and has contributed to RealClearMarkets.
