  I mostly liked the recent musical version of Les Miserables. But it was almost ruined for me by the “comic relief” performances of Sasha Baron Cohen and Helena Bonham Carter. I recommend the 1935 version starring Fredric March and Charles Laughton, as a perfect Javert.
