      Highly recommended.

The Netflix description: “Relocating from India to a quiet village in the south of France, chef Hassan Kadam and his family open a restaurant called Maison Mumbai. But when their business starts to thrive, a competing restaurateur launches a war between the eateries.”

That gives you the general idea, but it underplays the strong value orientation, the seriousness of the characters, and the beauty of the production.

I have been unwilling/unable to stomach anything with Helen Mirren since she attacked Ayn Rand in the cable-movie version of Barbara Branden’s garbage-memoir.

Not criticizing anyone who can stomach Mirren, but I can’t.
