Back in the day, I seem to recall Second Renaissance carried a few books from James “The Amazing” Randi. Not knowing much about him, I recently watched “An Honest Liar”, a documentary about his life and really enjoyed it (not sure if it was released in theaters, but it’s on iTunes). He’s a fascinating guy with a fascinating story, and at 81 still razor sharp. I had no idea what a cultural figure he became (including a cameo on Happy Days), or to what lengths he went “to expose the deceit behind religious faith healers, psychics, and other con artists who publicly exploit the public.” Recommended.
