A friend asked if I wanted to see the movie AS3, so I Googled a bit. It is no longer playing in theatres – after a one week run. Zero critics liked it, though 50% of Rotten Tomatoes’ voting members did.
HBL’ers will be amused to learn that no matter how bad the movie, Miss Rand’s point the mind can go on strike was not lost on reviewers, even on at the liberal NYC Village Voice.
Rand’s parable is meant to showcase just how much our world needs the best of us, but this adaptation only does so accidentally — by revealing what movies would be like if none of the best of us worked on them.
