In private email, P. Michael Hutchins suggested an improved organization of the table of contents for the digest. I took his idea and ran wild with it. The result is the more logical and more attractive table of contents that those of you on the Digest delivery option now see.
Unable to stop myself, I also improved the look of block quotes on the post that goes out. And by the way, if your email program doesn’t render blockquotes approximately like this, please let me know:
That’s from Gmail. I know that Outlook won’t round the corners and other email programs will change the “padding” (the empty space around the words), but if it really looks bad, please email me at hb@alum.mit.edu with a screenshot, if possible.
