I really liked this movie from 2004 starring Hillary Swank. I make no claims about how historically accurate it is. Do you know if it’s accurate?

It portrayed a strong female on a quest for women’s suffrage.  She was resolute in her resolve to force the president to change his policy.  She made choices and stuck to them, like when she gave up her man because she couldn’t be mother to his child and in order to focus full-time on her campaign. If you saw the movie, do you think that was a good decision? She insisted on nonviolent, non-rights-violating means to achieve her ends.  She also would not accept injustice done to her. When she was arrested, she led a hunger strike to protest her political imprisonment.

Do you know of other movies about civil rights that I might like?  Thanks, group.

You might like: In the Heat of the Night, A Doll’s House, and To Kill a Mockingbird (not fully on topic).
