This is a sci-fi drama starring Tom Cruise and Emily Brunt. Critics somewhat dismissed it for effectively being too much like Groundhog Day. They aren’t wrong on that point, it has the same plot mechanism.
But I loved Groundhog Day, and I often enjoy sci-fi, at least when it has positive themes. So for me, this was a welcome combination.
I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. My only minor complaint was that I felt Tom Cruise was slightly old for his character. A younger Tom Cruise would’ve been perfect. It has a positive theme, and it’s not too graphic.
