Two Women is a perfectly intense and competent movie version of a serious romantic play by the 19th century writer of Fathers and Sons, Ivan Turgenev. You will lose contact with conventional reality in this movie. The acting is perfect. Ralph Fiennes is in it. Russian or French with English subtitles but this does not distract from the astonishing romanticism. It’s interesting that contemporary filmmakers have this technical skill but rarely use it. I found the DVD at the Dollar Tree, another example of capitalism, it’s not a political philosophy, it’s an adventure.
