I recently began watching the Amazon comedy series Mozart in the Jungle, which ran from 2014-2018. It is a show that Yaron Brook recommended on his radio show a while ago.

Mozart in the Jungle centers on the ups and downs that occur at the New York Symphony after the arrival of an unconventional new conductor who disrupts the usual stodgy process of how things are done.

In one of the episodes in the 1st season (“I’m with the Maestro”), there is a positive/neutral Ayn Rand reference. The context is one of the main characters, Hailey, is with the conductor and runs into a college friend. In the ensuing conversation, the friend states that it was Hailey who introduced him to the writings of Ayn Rand. He then makes a hand motion indicating his mind was blown by the experience.Ā

I agree with Yaron’s recommendation of the show.

Thank you, Amesh. Jean and I are looking for a good show to follow.
