One-line summary: Idolatry is full of vivid writing, admirable characters fighting for values, and a good plot.
I just finished Objectivist Quent Cordair’s Idolatry part I: Genesis and found it very enjoyable. Genesis, which I assume is the first part of a longer novel, is set in the era in which the Roman Empire is about to fall and revolves around a master sculptor and his apprentice. Trying to produce art irrespective of how much it may offend the rising Christian theocracy is challenging and sets the stage for an, expected, clash of values.
I don’t want to give away too much of the novel but suffice it to say that it has a well integrated, fast-moving plot and a value-laden theme.
